Padang (LawuNews) Ahead of the opening Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo (MNEK 2016) that
is scheduled will be opened by President Republic of Indonesia H. Joko Widodo
in Padang, West Sumatera. Indonesian Navy carry out the opening ceremony
rehearsal and various attractions by soldiers.
Multilateral
Naval Exercise Komodo 2016 (MNEK 2016) held on 12 to 16 April 2016 in Padang,
West Sumatra and Mentawai island which is coupled with International
Fleet Review (IFR) 2016, 15th Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS), Naval
Workshop, Maritime Exhibition, Engineering Civic Action Project (Encap) and
Medical Civic Action Project (Medcap). This activities will be followed by
Navies from 37 countries.
At the
Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo (MNEK 2016), will be carried out various
activities such as: the signing peace dove monument by President Republic of
Indonesia H. Joko Widodo, Ship Tour by theme “Ayo ke Laut” which will be
followed by 500 students, rowing race (selaju sampan), beach soccer, culinary
festival in Cimpago beach, city parade with mascot of each country, fun bike,
tradisional dance, cultural promotion and cultural dinner.
